Joyce Eyjolfson - Village Artist
Joyce has been painting since 1989 and is mostly self taught. Although she has no formal art degrees, she enjoys painting in her own style. She has participated in many workshops and has tried many mediums and styles. Joyce loves painting landscapes and in particuler, sunsets. She paints on canvas, watercolor paper and rocks. Painting local wildflowers, birds and old buildings are also favorite subjects.
Joyce has participated in shows and sales at the Assiniboine Downs in Winnipeg, Oak Hammock Marsh and in the art club's sales for many years. Her works number in excess of 560 over the years and sales have been favorable.
She finds painting to be a soothing and satisfying pastime and she hopes to continue on for many more years.
